This treehouse is a repurposed 1850’s log cabin featured on the Barnwood Builders TV show, Season 14, episode 4 – Log Cabin Treehouse. Unlike any treehouse, you will truly step back in time with 18 inch hand-hewn logs that were handmade with an ax some 170 years ago. Let nostalgic memories of your youth come back to life when you stay at the Chasing Butterflies treehouse. This Farmhouse style treehouse has a loft bedroom with oversized windows bringing the outdoor beauty in. Complete with modern amenities, enjoy the calm peaceful view from the huge oversized deck with hot tub and beautiful outdoor furniture to enjoy the Great Smoky Mountains air. The Chasing Butterflies treehouse sits at the base of Cove Mountain in Wears Valley. This open concept 1 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath treehouse sleeps up to 4 people comfortably and is full of amenities. In addition to a queen bed and sofa bed, it offers a full-size bathroom; shower, ½ bath, kitchen, living room, dining area, hot tub, and a huge outdoor deck. Regardless of the season, relax in the air-conditioned or heated treehouse after your day’s activities. The kitchen has a range, refrigerator, and combo convection/microwave oven. Enjoy your favorite show on the 55 inch big screen smart-TV or use the free WI-FI. When you arrive at Chasing Butterflies, you will experience a treehouse cabin unlike anything you have seen. From old logs, iron and delightful butterfly decor, modern lighting, and a large deck. You access Chasing Butterflies via the set of stairs (30 steps) with catwalks or a service set of stairs. The outside deck is over 400 square feet and provides ample outdoor seating and viewing areas which overlooks a seasonal creek. Use the decks to sit and relax, dine outside, or sit in the 2-person hot tub and take in the fresh mountain air. If you’re lucky, you may even see a Black Bear (which you are not allowed to feed) At night, Chasing Butterflies transforms into a nightly light display with outdoor lights and possibly a few butterflies.

Our experience went beyond what we even expected. The views were amazing. The sound of the creek was relaxing. My daughters and I enjoyed the hot tub even on cool nights. We cannot wait to come back and do it again. The customer service was amazing.
We had a wonderful time staying here this past week. Very secluded and private area. The Bear camp reservation and check in/check out process was super easy. Would recommend this very unique style tree house cabin!
