The views of this property are unreal. It looks like a painting. The property is definitely old that they have updated some but could use a bit more to make it truly up to date. No extras as far as items in the house ( i.e., no hair dryers or shampoo/conditioneretc). Short on towels for such a large home. Hot tub was clean and worked well. Small “treehouse” connected to the deck needs to be “fixed.” There was exposed nails and wood. We had to clean up a ton of branches from the front yard and porch so as not to trip. The electric fireplaces in all the rooms was a nice touch. The part that created the most stress/chaos was the check in process. I emailed the property earlier in the week to inquire about early check in and since it was a Thursday check in and the house wasn’t rented, I was wondering if we could get in early. They informed me there was the potential to check in at 2p if housekeeping was completed. I called the property and they told me the house was not released and housekeeping needed to come drop off more items. After sitting in the car for 1.5 hrs, I called at 3:30 saying we hadn’t seen housekeeping pull up yet and asked again if we could get in. They said no that housekeeping needed to come. 4p rolled around and they sent us our code to the door which didn’t work so we had to call to get a new code. Property wouldn’t answer the phone or texts so had to call after hours emergency number to get in. Property Management employees were also rude and snarky.

We had a wonderful stay. The views were incredible. Great family memories made! The house was absolutely gorgeous & spacious! Roads were pretty narrow about a mile or so up to the cabin. Would have been nice to know that ahead of time. Not ideal for extra large vehicles or those traveling with a trailer. Deck railing seems a bit slanted. Was a little leary of it's stability.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Smoky Vista Lodge. We had 11 adults and an infant and there was plenty of room to spread out. The views were spectacular, even though it was cloudy and rainy for a lot of our time there. We also had 2 visits from a mama bear and her 3 cubs which was an amazing experience!
The location was great, only about 10 minutes from Gatlinburg, but it felt secluded and quiet, especially when sitting on one of the many decks.

This was my first time renting from Bear Camp Cabins. The check-in notification was delivered right on time and the cabin (Smoky Vista Lodge) was everything I expected. The staff I interacted with were very professional. The cabin was very clean and exactly as pictured in the listing. Our group size was 14 and there was ample room for everyone. The kitchen was well stocked and there was plenty of seating in the dining are for our large group. Shortly after our check-in, we had a mama bear, and her three cubs serve as a welcoming committee. What a beautiful and unexpected experience!! The mountain view from the rear deck is absolutely gorgeous!! Would definitely stay here again and recommend this cabin to anyone who wants to be close to town but retreat to the quiet and beauty of nature.

Great time. Plenty of room for our whole family!!

The property had amazing views and was nicely located but still secluded. The only down side which there wasn’t many was the lack of extra paper towels and trash bags. Also no dust pan which we found strange. Other than that we enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back. The host also communicated very fast and well when we were having problems with connecting the TVs.

First, this is a beautiful home! Plenty of space and amenities for the entire family. But … the property owners/managers really missed the boat on several things. The towels and other home touches were of lower quality than a Holiday Inn, and when several things added up (broken dish washer, inoperable gas grill and gas fire pit, toilet won’t flush, missing basic items in kitchen and bathrooms), we politely called and emailed the property manager. Our messages weren’t returned and, frankly, ignored. Big problem for us.
Also, make sure you bring your own: Hair driers, trash bags, pasta strainer, bowls (if you want one larger than a small dinner bowl), cleaning supplies/dust pan, hand soap, shampoo, and laundry detergent. They don’t provide these.
Our biggest problem? They were/are building a new house in close proximity to this one. So the excessive noise began at 8 a.m. and continued throughout the daylight hours; not only was there an early wake up call each day but those amazing views were drowned out by the very annoying sounds of power saws, hammer and nails, nail guns, and throwing 2x4s and other materials around so loudly they sounded like gun shots. Not the fault of our property manager/owner you say? Agreed. But we wish they would have told us. We would have booked elsewhere. Being transparent on the front end and attentive to problems throughout this stay would have been easy for them, but they chose against it.

Wonderful trip. You were quick to communicate and take care of any concerns.

Our extended family had a wonderful time in the Smokies last weekend.
The house was wonderfully clean. So much room. Wonderful kitchen/eating area, and the extra table was perfect for dominos.
Thank you for helping us make some wonderful lifetime memories.

This cabin was awesome! We had 12 adults and 2 babies. There was plenty of space for everyone to be comfortable! Dinners were so nice at the big kitchen table, enough space for everyone to have a seat. The views were absolutely beautiful! You really can’t get a better Mountain View than this cabin!

This cabin is truly amazing! You really can’t beat the Mountain View’s and you get them on all three levels of the cabin. There is plenty of balcony space to sit outside and take in the view but also the cabin has a ton of windows for those that don’t want to be outside but still enjoy the view. We travelled with 12 adults and 2 babies. The space was just enough for everyone to have room and be comfortable! The Kitchen table and living room had plenty of seats for everyone. The game room was so fun! We really enjoyed the pool table, air hockey and Pac-Man. Due to time, we didn’t get to enjoy the hot tub or fire pit outside but it is a nice addition for anyone that can enjoy them. All master bedrooms has an electric fire place.

We loved the house, we were said to find broken going pong equipment so we weren't able to play and no board games to be found.

We had a wonderful stay at Tanrac lodge with our family. The cabin was so relaxing that we just chilled a couple of days instead of hitting the strip. There was plenty of space and activities for everyone. We will hopefully be back!

We had a great time at the cabin! It rained us in and we had a blast playing games and hanging out. The cabin is spacious and was a perfect fit for our group.
Candie Kleemann
A quick getaway for three generations, ages 8 months to 64 years, which was enjoyed by all. We had a couple of rainy days but there were definitely enough games and things to do at Tanrac Lodge to keep us busy. This is a beautiful lodge with gorgeous views.

The property was great and exactly as listed. The views were amazing. Kristy and the staff were very helpful and responsive to any questions or issues we had. The only reason we didn’t rate this property a 5 is because the stench from the septic tank made it difficult to sit out on the beautiful porch and impossible to use the hot tub. Maintenance was dispatched to check out the problem but was unable to resolve during our stay.

We vacation with 10-12 people every year, so we were very excited when Bear Camp Cabins opened a big cabin for all of us to enjoy! Our experience with Bear Camp Cabins is always amazing. Thank you for taking care of your cabins and having excellent customer service!

Our vacationing party consisted of 8 adults and 5 kids. There was plenty of space for us all to spread out and no one felt cramped. The view was AMAZING! We had an issue with no water at one point, but the management team was quick to address it and send out someone to fix the problem. Kids loved the game room. Great vacation rental, would definitely stay there again!

Very clean, spacious, accommodating, and beautiful view. Everything was amazing about this home and our family enjoyed the stay.

This property was rented for my Daughter's wedding party, and I couldnt have been happier! From the the beginning to the end of our stay was just breathtaking. Most know, wedding planning is not an easy thing to do, and gets even more difficult when you come from out of state. Not this place. From the initial contact through checkout was as easy as can be. Communications were answered and questions addressed. The only issue I can think of would be parking, but we figured out a easy solution to that problem. The only think I would caution prospective renters is to make sure you leave your windows to your vehicles up, as there are a few bears who will climb into them. (as we have video of a few cubs / young ones climbing out of one of our cars. Thankfully no damage, but leason learned) All in all, I would highly recommended!

It was a really nice experience, breath-taking views, beautiful and organized place.

The only complaint we have was the hot tub didn’t seem to be as clean as I would like. It had lots of flakes from something?? Our code wouldn’t work to get us in the cabin but the office quickly fixed it and we got right in! Kitchen was great except they need a big set of mixing bowls of different sizes. We would definitely stay again. ☺️

We had 9 adults and 9 children (ages 1-17 years) all together for a Christmas trip as a gift for my 70 year old mother. There was so much room in the cabin and we never felt cramped. The space was very well maintained and everything was perfect. We are planning to come back next year and this cabin will be high on our list!

An incredible property for a family event. The view is absolutely amazing! The amenities catered to a wide range of ages and the facility is stocked very well with all the tools and entertainment needed. Thank you owners for sharing your property.
