While the slopes are already open for snow tubing, skiing and snowboarding season begins in the middle of December. Ober Gatlinburg Ski Resort has nine ski slopes to accommodate people of all levels of experience. They are, in fact, in the process of building yet another ski slope, Yeti’s Run, which will be more than 600 feet long!

If you are coming with a large family or group of friends, you can take advantage of group rates for skiing. People who live nearby or who plan to visit the area several times during the winter can purchase an Ober Gatlinburg season pass. This not only gives you access to slopes but also added benefits such as unlimited ski lift rides and aerial tramway rides.
