3. Wears Valley Fall Festival
The Wears Valley Fall Festival takes place in mid October and is a favorite event for locals. Come experience the hundreds of vendors, melodic live music, and incredible Southern cuisine. Pigeon Forge Winterfest Trolley Tours
Winterfest is a very special time of the year in the Smoky Mountains. Trolley Tours for Christmas lights sightseeing begin at Patriot Park on Old Mill Road in Pigeon Forge. Tour times are 6:30 p.m., 7:45 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. The cost of the trolley ride is $5 per person.
As passengers see the sights from the comfort of the trolley car, well informed tour guides point out special landmarks and also tell stories and folktales about the Smoky Mountain area for a truly enjoyable experience.

Gatlinburg’s Trolley Ride of Lights
The city of Gatlinburg also celebrates Winterfest with trolley rides through the glowing streets of the city. Riders of all ages will be in awe of Gatlinburg’s brilliant light displays.
The rides leave from the Welcome Center at 88 River Road, next to Ripley’s Aquarium, or as locals refer to it, the #5 stoplight on the Parkway. Tour times are 6:30 p.m., 7:30p.m., and 8:30 p.m. and cost $5 per person. Tickets can be purchased online at the official Gatlinburg Winter Magic Trolley Ride website.
