Our stay at LeConte Mountain Chalet was ... well, words are difficult to find. It's somewhat similar to the failure of the beautiful images of the view to adequately capture the magnificence and scale actually experienced with one's own eyes. The chalet is a bit tight - but sleeping arrangements were as advertised. It was clean, very cool, all devices worked, and it was comfortable. We had a great time. Bear Camp communicated clearly and accurately. We would rent another of their properties without question. I add the following hoping to aid future hiking enthusiasts: When viewing the GSM from the deck, the near peaks to the SSW run along the Green Brier Pinnacle (we actually found the no longer maintained trail to the top, but ran out of time to summit it this time - it lies 1.5 miles into the Ramsay Cascade trail). The highest peak to the SE is Mount LeConte - which makes the naming appropriate. We hiked every day, and this chalet was as convenient as any, as the size of the park necessitates travel to most trailheads. The included image is from the morning of our departure; The Green Brier Ridge (and Cat Stairs) is just visible in the immediate left, and Mount LeConte is just visible along the top ridge in the far right of the image. Highly recommended. Wonderful experience for our families; unforgettable. Additional note: There are tons of birds in the trees and hills surrounding the chalet. Included are shots of a juvenile eastern bluebird, and a broad-winged hawk.

The cabin was fantastic the view was absolutely breath taking. We had a couple of issues with things but they were very quick to get things fixed. We will be back.
